On Saturday, August 12th, the Kerala Association of Delaware Valley honors the Class of 2023 at Millers Park. All Kadavu family members are invited to attend and give wishes to our new graduates.
Cum Laude graduate from Downingtown East High School and will now enroll at Temple University Honors for Management Information Systems. She served as a Student Council Executive Member, the Spanish Honor Society Secretary, and a National Honor Society member. Additionally, she was a Peer Mentor and a member of the district dance team. Sloka also held the position as Kadavu Youth Vice President from 2020 to 2021, followed by her role as Youth President from 2021 to 2022
Janaki graduated from Great Valley High School, Malvern, PA. She has received distinguished honors for all four years of high school. She has been a member of various clubs at school like the NHS and Model UN and has worked as the Vice-President of the Youth group of the KADAVU. Janaki is also an accomplished dancer who has won many awards and has participated in and choreographed multiple shows. Janaki recently completed her Bharathanatyam arengettam this past May with a three hour long solo performance. She has also received training in Bollywood, ballet, and hip hop style dances. She will move on to the next phase of her life this fall doing her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in MIS at Drexel University.
Graduated from Conestoga High School and will be attending to University of Pittsburgh majoring in Neuroscience on a Pre-med track. Malavika was on the executive board of the Caring for Kids organization that aids children at CHOP, as well as a co-author for a neuroscience research paper. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer (Nardhana Academy of Dance) and Carnatic singer.
Cum Laude from Downingtown STEM Academy. He has learnt western flute and Saxophone and has been part of the Downingtown East Marching Band. Abhishek had an opportunity to participate in the 2022 Pasadena Tournament of Roses parade as part of the Downingtown Blue and Gold Marching Band. He has been a member of DECA all four years of high school and played Volleyball and was part of Downingtown East High School club team.Abhishek is headed to Penn State University Park to pursue Aerospace Engineering
Anjali Chungapally will be studying engineering at Penn State University Mechanical Engineering. During her time at Downingtown East, she was the treasurer of her class and an active member of the student council, the theater program, and the orchestra. She gave back to the community through community service, volunteering at Chrysalis Art Center for 3 years, and being an active member of DEHS’s National Honors Society.
Aaditya Krishna graduated from DHS East and will be a freshman at Pennsylvania State University at University Park and is majoring in Computer Science. He enjoys being an active member of Kadavu Youth, Student Council, Desi Student Union and is a car fanatic.
Keerthana is a High Honor roll student who graduated from STEM Academy with a GPA of 4.45 and will be going to Towson University. She is the leader of her schools writing club as well as track captain. Her most fun accomplishment was breaking three Downingtown East track and field records.
Anjana Pramod, a Henderson graduate, will pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Toronto. Anjana represented more than 5,000 students as the District 9 Representative of PA DECA and as the president of Henderson DECA. Anjana served as the secretary for Kadavu Youth, the president of Kindness Club, was a Co-founder of 6 businesses, the head of the marketing committee for Girl Sparks, was a founder of Emergency Aid of Pennsylvania, and was part of the grant making committee: grant making 40,000 dollars with the Girls Advisor Board(GAB). Anjana was the president of National Business Honor Society, a member of National Honors Society, and National Spanish Honor Society and graduated with an AP Capstone Diploma. Anjana was a Spellman Humanitarian award winner, NBC 10 leadership award winner, and Founders award winner
Devadarsh graduated from West Chester Henderson High School and will be going to the University of Pittsburgh to major in Computer Science. In school he was a part of Academic Team, Science Olympiad, DECA, National Honors Society, and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honors Society. Outside of school he has achieved a 3rd degree black belt in tae-kwon-do and likes to sing Carnatic music. Dev also served as a secretary for KADAVU youth in 2019 and 2022.
Sidanth Menon, an erstwhile member of Kadvau Youth, graduated from STEM in 2023 and is poised to embark on a new academic journey at the Kelley School of Business, where he will be pursuing Finance and Business Administration. Sidanth’s accomplishments are truly noteworthy. He served as the team leader for Vexmen robotics team-81P , a group that consistently achieved remarkable success from middle school to high school, garnering numerous state-level accolades and secured the highest achievable award, the Excellence Award, at the Vex Worlds Championship 2022. Sidanth also co-founded battlebots club in STEM for competing in National Robotics League. Sidanth and his team devised a groundbreaking prototype centered around bio-photovoltaics. This inventive approach to energy production aimed to address Pennsylvania’s agricultural land utilization crisis, earning them 1st place in the distinguished PA Governor’s STEM Competition. Sidanth has proven himself as an avid debate competitor, gaining recognition and invitations to esteemed forums like Princeton’s Public Forum Debate. His prowess extends beyond debating, as he clinched titles as the District and State level champion in DECA, ultimately representing the state of Pennsylvania in an international competition held in Atlanta in both 2021 and 2022. Beyond academics and competitions, Sidanth co-founded the Saturday Night Discord Podcast. Through this platform, he explored and shared insights on a diverse range of contemporary topics. Sidanth Menon’s journey is a testament to his dedication, innovation, and leadership. Malavika Menon graduated from West Chester East High School and will be going to University of Pittsburgh Honors college. Malavika is a Multi-year 1st prize winner of interstate level ‘Delaware Valley Science and Engineering Fair’ and ‘Regional Science and Research Competition’ , recipient of ‘Broadcom MASTERS’ &Future scientist award from USDA, and FMC Corporation, PA state merit winner at 3M ‘Young Scientist Challenge’, National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society member, Co-author of an article with Stanford Neuropsychologists and NIA advisory board and University of Pittsburgh Merit scholarship recipient. Malavika is a Volleyball Varsity team player (her team made it to the playoffs in 2022-23), Society of Women in STEM club president, Medical fundraising club president and Yearbook club officer at high school. Founder of a volunteering platform, ‘Nandanam arts.org’, Hillman Humanitarian award and Richard F. Dunlup scholarship recipient for community service and extracurricular activities. Junaid Mansoor – graduated from Downingtown STEM Academy in 2023. He will be attending Drexel University in Philadelphia and looking to major in Computer Science. At school Junaid was active in the DECA program and outside school, he participated in Vex Robotics through middle school and early high school. Junaid is a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo and loves going to the gym, as well as playing volleyball and video games with his friends. He enjoys traveling to new places and learning about different cultures and connecting with people.
Rahul Abraham Joseph was a graduate from West Chester B.Reed Henderson High School and will be enrolling at Penn state university for computer science. Rahul was a black belt in Taekwondo, a varsity track runner, a Kadavu youth Secretary, science olympiad districts finalists and a Distinguished Model
Elijah Tharakan, graduated from Downingtown East high school. He was in the academic team, FRC, DECA and he has a PSAT honor certificate. He will be going to Penn state University for computer science engineering
Rikin Rakesh graduated from Great Valley High School and will be going to Northeastern University, Boston. He was the Captain of the High School Soccer Team in 2022-2023 and also played with Club Soccer, part of the team that made it to the ECNL national play offs, 2021-2022
Sriraj graduated from Unionville High School and will continue his studies at Drexel University to major in Biology. He is an Eagle Scout and rated Chess player. In school, he was President/Founder of the Chess Club and Asian Empowerment Club and part of the SHOC Club, Speech and Debate Club, Track and Field, Longhorn Life Council, and National Honors Society. He graduated from Chester County Allied Health program. Achieved National Merit Scholarship Commended Student, Academically Talented Program, CodeLM Third Place – Advanced and Expert division, AP Scholar with Distinction Award, Distinguished Honor Roll, Game development Intern at Comcast during 11th and 12th, FIRST Robotics Competitions and participated in World championships 2022. He is volunteering at Nemours Hospital. Sriraj served as a President for KADAVU youth in 2019.

Christine is interested in music and a good singer and part of School chorus. She is very social, good with outdoor sports, good with grades from Henderson high school and going to Temple University with Business as major.

Sneha Bijoy was a member of the Student Council and participated in a Healthcare Exploration Program with Delaware County Community College during her senior year. She was awarded the Academic Excellence Award in Chemistry and graduated with Cum Laude from Downingtown East High School. She will be continuing her education in the accelerated Physician’s Assistant Program at King’s College.
Jesslyn Geevarghese graduated with Cum Laude and AP Scholar from Downingtown East and going to Penn state. She is part of the Technology Student Association (TSA): Sergeant in Arms, Secretary of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), President of the Red Cross, Student School Board Representative, part Student Life Committee, Student Council Executive Board, Secretary of National Honors Society (NHS), President of German National Honors Society, part of the German Club and Cougar Mentor Program

Benjamin graduated with a Magna cum Laude from Downingtown West High School and has been in track and field since middle school. Benjamin will be going to Alvernia University, Reading
Sneha Ramady graduated with Cum Laude from Downingtown East HS and will be attending Temple University. She was part of Student Council, Spanish National Honor Society, and held a Committee position in National Honor Society. She has also been studying bharatanatyam for the past 12 years. In her free time, Sneha enjoys dancing, painting, and reading.
Sriya Mangatt, a STEM Academy graduate, will be attending Temple University as a Neuroscience major on the Pre-Med track. Sriya served as the Vice President and President of KADAVU Youth. She was the Downingtown Chapter head of an International Covid-19 relief initiative called Letters for Rose, and Co-leader of Scientista, a club dedicated to encouraging middle school girls into the STEM field. She was a member and award winner of TSA, and a member of the National Honors Society. Sriya is a trained dancer under Anil Diwakar (Diwakar Performing Arts) and Rohit Gijare (Exodus Artistry), she conducts classes independently as a choreographer for younger students who have performed at many events.
Dev is a summa cum laude graduate, Varsity cross country captain, DECA chapter vice president and National Merit Scholarship Finalist. In his free time Dev enjoys hiking, playing chess and playing basketball. He graduated from the Downingtown STEM Academy and will be continuing his education as a business major at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Graduated summa cum laude from the Downingtown STEM Academy and going to Penn State University . He had developed a web based 3D molecular modeling program as a part of his academic work and was a Varsity sprinter for Downingtown West. On the side he developed an iOS puzzle game called Flippside

Graduated from Conestoga High School this fall. He will be attending Indiana University, Kelley School of Business at Huttons Honors College. Over the years in high school, he participated in clubs like Science Olympiad, DECA, Chess, Peer Mediation, Key Club, CASA. and Computer Science Club and many more. He also participated in extracurriculars like JV tennis, President of the Chess Team, my school's Spring Musical, Winter Track, and played in school's Recreational Basketball Team. He does oil painting and recently started an online business startup
HOSA - Healthcare Occupations Students of America - participated at the PA State championships FBLA - First Business Leaders of America - participated in PA State Championships Downingtown East high school co-president of NACLO - North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad. Sneha recently graduated from the Downingtown STEM Academy. She is a three-time state champion for the Future Business Leaders of America. Sneha was also the coach and founder of her school's Computational Linguistics Club. Sneha was the student board district representative for her school and was responsible for working with the school board. Sneha interned for various organizations including the Pennsylvania Democrat’s, Cerner Corporation, and DELL Boomi. She has also volunteered for the Red Cross as a blood donor ambassador, She volunteered to teach elementary school children with STEM activities. She also has been doing Bharatanatyam for the past ten years. . Sneha will be attending Schreyer Honors College ,Penn State this fall to persue higher studies.
Sean recently graduated from Downingtown STEM Academy. In the fall Sean will be attending RIT and pursue a degree in computing security. Sean was involved in a variety of clubs in School including National honor society, French honor society, debate team, investment club, varsity tennis. Outside of school Sean participated in a variety of hackathons and developed many programs such as a Parkinson's diagnoser and a heart beat measuring simulator meant to train EMTs. He also enjoys art and writing graphic novels.
